CONGRESS ECONOMY OF
A WATER CITY 2021
25-26 October 2021
Wroclaw Stadium – Al. Śląska 1, Wrocław, Poland
WATER – CITY – QUALITY OF LIFE
For the third time, the Economy of a Water City Congress will focus on the entirety of the relationship between the water and the urban environment. Invariably, the ambitious goal is to identify actions that will reduce or eliminate the negative effects of interaction between these two environments.
The global pandemic has not made water and climate challenges and risks vanish. An analysis indicating the complexity of the environmental aspects of water management will therefore be necessary. It must be based on water supply, production and distribution systems, taking into account threats to water sources, the destructive power of the nature, river transport capacities or the risk of drought.

OEES WATERLAB
Interested in the subject of the congress? We invite you to visit the website of the OEES WATERLAB platform operating within the Open Eyes Economy Hub. The main aim is to link research, analytical and implementation activities as well as to support the transformation processes that both cities, villages and society have to go through in order to cope with increasing global threats, including climate change and the consequences of a global water pandemic.

WATER CITY INDEX
As every year, a team of experts around the Water City Index prepares a specialist ranking of cities in which the development of metropolises, large and medium-sized cities in Poland was assessed in terms of the effectiveness of water resources management.
We invite you to read last Index from 2020. This year’s premiere will take place at the Economy of a Water City Congress.
